Karlsruhe is located in Baden-Württemberg only 15km from the French border. It is the seat of the German Constitutional Court (Bundesverfassungsgericht). Karlsruhe is the former capital of Grand Duchy of Baden.
The city is very pleasant because it has a very airy urban structure. The city is built in a star whose center is the castle. The other monument from Karlsruhe is its pyramid, which is actually the tomb of the founder of the city. Another important asset to live, it is the second sunniest city in Germany.
The city has a large University with 11 departments (math, info ...), more than 120 institutions, 300 teachers and 15,000 students including 2,500 foreigners from 80 different countries.
